The Fitchburg Public Library has received a ONE MILLION DOLLAR challenge gift from an anonymous donor. Contribute before December 31, 2011, and your donation will be matched by an anonymous donor. For every $2 you contribute a match of $1 will be made. Help us meet this challenge and maximize this amazing gift to the library!

This gift, if fully utilized, will help complete our capital campaign goal of four million dollars. To date, we have raised just over $3 million of this goal.

Specific Naming Opportunities within the building are still available for individuals, businesses or community groups. This is a great way to show your support, or honor a special person.

The Opening Day Collection

The Opening Day Collection is a great place to make your contribution. Help us fund the library collection—the heart of the library! This collection will cost almost $2 million dollars. Your donation to this part of the campaign will help us meet this goal. The city is providing a beautiful facility; it is up to the community to “stuff the shelves”. All donors of $500 or more will be individually recognized in the library, as well as in their favorite books.

Help us raise money for the library by having a fundraiser for your business, club or neighborhood. The capital campaign committee will provide the support and materials needed.
